| I recently graduated from business school and took a position at a top television network in New York City. At first I was an intern with real responsibilities, like coming up with great ideas for marketing and promotions for new shows. After I completed my internship, I was hired as a marketing assistant. My job responsibilities were to remain the same or get more challenging, or so I thought.
My new boss expected me to do brainless errands that were not in my job description. I was ordered to bring my boss a fresh cup of Starbucks Coffee, a magazine and cupcake every morning for him. I also had to order lunch for meetings, clean the conference room after everyone left, and the list goes on and on. This is not the position I was expecting after I left school.
I refuse to continue to accept this treatment for a low life loser like my boss. He obviously does not understand how to utilize the talents of his employees. |
