| I worked in a research lab and began dating one of my co-workers. Friends in another lab on our floor invited us to their upcoming wedding, so we decided we would go together. The wedding was 2 months away, and during that time, our relationship became a bit rocky. However, we still agreed to attend the wedding. The day before the wedding, he took the day off work to help his ex-girlfriend move into her new apartment. He called me around 10:00 that night to tell me about his moving day – how they almost got the truck ticketed and were harassed by the cops and all. After all of his comic banter, he then proceeded to tell me that he wasn’t going to the wedding because he had too much studying to do! I was furious! I couldn’t back out because I had promised another couple that I would drive to the wedding. So I had to find a date in less than 24 hours! I managed to find a date and had a great time at the wedding but I still had to work with the loser who dumped me! |
